1.1 adds support for proxy servers that require a password, fixes a cosmetic problem with system 8.1 and a potential crashing conflict with the Palm Instant Desktop extension.

This client will make an update to your account ONLY if the IP address of your machine changes. If you wish to change other information such as turning wildcards on or off or adding an mx record you must click the "forget" button in the setup page for that account. Now the next time the IP is checked the account will be updated with the new information. DynDNS does allow you to make updates for the same IP if you are changing other information.
If you get an error during the update process a window will open with the return from the server. This includes the headers which you dont normally see but they can help you discover what the problem is. 99% of problems come from mistyping either the hostname or the password, or a misconfigured proxy setup. MacDynDNS cannot yet get the proxy info from InternetConfig, you need to enter it manually into the preferences screen.
If you have a working account then you should be able to use this client to update it. It is now compatable with NAT routers like IPNetRouter and Vicoms Internet Gateway.
This client also supports the new 29 day update to keep your account from being removed for no activity. If your account has had the same IP for 29 days the client will perform an update even if the IP hasn't changed. This is automatic, you dont need to set anything up for this.
Some people report that the "Dont Connect if PPP is not already connected" setting does not work for them. At this point I can not duplicate this problem but am looking into it. If you use this either successfully or not, please let me know.
This client is offered AS IS and as freeware. But a nice email letting me know your using it and what you think would be greatly appreciated.
